Ethical Policies

Policies on Conflict of Interest, Human and Animal Rights, and Informed Consent

Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Conflicts of interest must be clearly stated in the manuscript at the time of submission, preferably on the unblinded title page. If there are no conflicts to disclose, authors must explicitly state this.

Human and Animal Rights: Research involving human participants or animals must comply with ethical standards as set by the Declaration of Helsinki, institutional guidelines, and national or international laws. Manuscripts reporting studies involving human participants must include a statement confirming that informed consent was obtained and that the research received approval from an appropriate ethics committee. Studies involving animals must include details of compliance with relevant ethical regulations, including institutional approval and adherence to internationally accepted guidelines.

Informed Consent: For all research involving human subjects, authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants or their legal guardians prior to their inclusion in the study. Documentation must be available upon request. Authors must ensure participant confidentiality is protected, and any identifiable data must be anonymized.
