Online Course to Assist with the Development of Research Projects
In 2021, the Foundation worked with Ellen Ireland, PhD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine to develop an online course that provides residents with tools to design, implement and complete a research project. The online course consists of eight total videos to teach residents the basics of developing a scholarly activity.

Resident Research Dashboard
Based on feedback from orthopedic residency program directors, the Foundation developed the Resident Research Dashboard. The Dashboard provides residents an opportunity to add their research project and collaborate with other residency programs and medical students. With this way to collaborate, it is the hope of the Foundation that more multi-center studies will emerge within the field of osteopathic orthopedic surgery.
