ORE-O $10,000 GRANT

  • Offered through a joint collaboration between the AOAO Foundation and the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) to AOAO members enrolled in a residency or fellowship training program

$5,000 RESEARCH GRANT

  • AOAO members enrolled in a residency or fellowship training program may apply for the Foundation Research Grant.

Pediatric Section Scholarship

  • The purpose of this award is to recognize an Osteopathic: medical student, orthopedic resident, or pediatric orthopedic fellow who has completed a research project pertaining to pediatric orthopedics.
  • Funding Amount: $2,000
  • Funding for research pertaining to pediatric orthopedics

Hand Mission Scholarship

  • The recipient of this scholarship will be a current DO hand surgery fellow and member of the AOAO.
  • Funding Amount: $2000
  • Funding for travel related to missions focusing on orthopedic hand surgery in underserved areas.

Outstanding Student Scholarship

  • The purpose of this scholarship is to offset the expense of school supplies for the medical student selected as the recipient.
  • Funding Amount: $250
  • Funding toward school supplies for osteopathic medical students

Emerging Leader Award

The Emerging Leader recipient will be selected by the AOAO Foundation Board based on AOAO membership in good standing, community service and hospital and/or community leadership.

The award is presented at the Annual Fall Meeting during the AOAO Awards Ceremony. The recipient must be present to receive the award. Included with the award will be complimentary meeting registration, recognition in The Orthopod Newsletter and a plaque.

Outstanding Resident
Paper Award

The Outstanding Resident Paper Award recipient will be selected from the abstracts submitted for the AOAO Annual Meeting. The resident receiving the overall highest score will be selected based on the scoring of the Residents and Fellows Committee. The recipient will receive a plaque, recognition at the Annual Meeting and a monetary award of $500.
